I finally finished the Baby Blanket I made on my knitting machine. I crocheted a shell border and added a tuck stitch in blanket for decoration. It was a pretty quick knit once I put my mind to finishing it.
So many ideas, too little time!
I should say, so much yarn, not enough time for anything else.

A quickie blanket
I wanted to make a baby blanket for someone who just had a baby and I dreaded knitting one. So I pulled out my Silver Reed Knitting machine and I knit one up quick. It only takes about a hour or so to make a baby blanket. Took me a hour total over many days because my breaks are days long haha. I just have to block (and yes you can block acrylic) it out. The only issue with the flat bed knitting machines is that they curl quite a bit. I have read of a few ways to prevent it, but blocking works for me just as well. Then I will crochet a shell edging. When I have done that I will post a pic of the finished blanket.

10 stitch blanket
I have been working on this blanket for almost a year! I hope to finish this winter. It was easy at first, but now it takes over 2 hrs to make the complete round. I don't think I will be making one this size again haha.
Sunhat
Here is my granddaughter wearing a sunhat I knitted for her. It was a easy pattern. I just knitted a basic beanie and picked up stitches on the edge. I increased every 3 rows until I thought the brim was wide enough. I think she's busy examining the tomatoes from the garden.
Fresh out of the garden.
We had terrible rain last night and I was afraid to check the garden for any damage. This is what I came out with. I still have a lot of tomatoes and green peppers left yet to pick. It has been a good year so far.

Welcome to my blog.
I may have the blog bug. I watch watching one of my favorite you tubers and she is now blogging (Pam) and I thought I might give it a try. I am doing this blindly, as I am not sure how this works. It seems I created this a year or so ago and never did anything with it.
I do knit, crochet and occasionally some sewing. I will post some pictures of my projects as I work on them.
A little about me. I live in the "frozen tundra", as I call it, with my husband and 2 cats. I have one grandchild, whom I love and adore. I like to knit for her and have made a few cute hats and a blanket or 2. There are so many projects and such little time to do them all. I find knitting a stress reliever until the carpel tunnel kicks in. I have to get that fixed one of these days. I'm just not up for the surgery right at this point in time. I just take a lot of breaks when I do knit or crochet.
That's all I can think of for now. :)
